The process of resuming flights between Russia and other states will be very long and phased due to the arrival of the second wave of COVID-19 in different regions of the world.

Russia, as expected, was not included in the list of those 15 countries from which the ban on entry into the EU was removed from July 1.

In order to quickly restore tourist flow from Russia, European countries thought about easing the visa regime. The most active in this matter are the European countries, which GDP largely depends on the tourism sector.

In the first half of the year, arrivals from Russia to the EU decreased by 37.4% compared with the same period of the last year, according to the press secretary of the Russian Union of Travel Industry Irina Tyurina. She explained that these figures are based on statistics from Russian Statistics Service, which does not take into account indicators of Ireland and Luxembourg.
