Aeroflot has begun ticket sales for flights to Palma de Mallorca, the capital of the Spanish island Mallorca. Regular flights on the Moscow – Palma de Mallorca – Moscow route will launch on 1 June 2019.  Four weekly flights on Airbus A320 aircraft will operate on the following schedule: 

The Interdepartmental Commission of Ministry of Transport of Russian Federation has authorized Aeroflot airlines to increase the frequency of flights to Hong Kong, Rome, Milan and Helsinki. As follows from the materials published on the website of Rosaviation, the carrier will now be able to fly to Hong Kong up to 14 times a week (previously there was an admission to perform 7 flights a week), to Rome and Milan - up to 35 times (instead of 28), Helsinki – up to 21 times (instead of 14).

The airline company "Aeroflot" plans to start daily flights from Moscow to Newark Liberty International airport (located near Newark city, New Jersey) since June 1, 2017. The flights will be performed by Airbus A330. Departure from Moscow (airport "Sheremetyevo") is scheduled at 20:00, arriving to Newark at 23:00. Departure of the return flight is scheduled at 1:00 with arrival to Moscow at 17:20. Newark Liberty airport is 24 km south-west of New York's Midtown area. Currently, "Aeroflot" implements two daily flights to New York City airport John F. Kennedy (JFK).

“Airline company "Aeroflot" almost double increase the frequency of flights from Moscow to London this winter”, - said the carrier in a statement. The number of flights will increase from current 18 to 32 flights a week. This is due to the opening of the flights to the second most important airport of London - Gatwick.

"Aeroflot" is ready to sell its largest subsidiary - the airline company "Rossia", - writes the newspaper "Vedomosti" with reference to the three federal officials. The Aeroflot Group plans to end 2016 with a profit under Russian Accounting Standards (RAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), said Head of the Aeroflot Group Vitaliy Saveliev told reporters on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum on Friday. The company has no plans to borrow internationally in 2016, has moderate debt burden, Saveliev said.

Starting from June 3, 2016, Aeroflot airline will start regular flights from Moscow to French Lyon, the press service of the air carrier reported. The airline plans to operate flights on the route Moscow - Lyon - Moscow three times a week on Airbus A320. Flight SU 2480 will depart from Moscow (airport Sheremetyevo) at 10:25 and arrive in Lyon at 13:15, return flight SU 2481 will depart from Lyon at 14:25 and arrive in Moscow at 19:05 (local time). Former owners of Transaero air carrier (the Pleshakov family) have put together 72% of the company’s shares for closing the deal with Aeroflot, Transaero’s former CEO Olga Pleshakova wrote in her Twitter microblog. Aeroflot will receive 56 international routes of Transaero as compensation of expenses for carrying Transaero passengers.

Russia’s flagship carrier Aeroflot will carry 230,000 passengers with tickets of Transaero airline by December 15, Vitaly Saveliev, general director of Aeroflot, said in an interview with the Russia 24 TV channel. "Approximately 230,000 people (are yet to be carried — TASS) including those of Biblio Globus (tour operator —TASS).

Holders of Transaero tickets for international flights will be transported through October 5, Aeroflot CEO Vitaly Savelyev told journalists Friday. Shareholders of Transaero airline thwarted term of the offer to repurchase by Aeroflot 75% + 1 share for 1 ruble. According to Kommersant newspaper, the owners have not been able to gather the necessary shares. One of the reasons the sources of "Kommersant" believe that 25% of "Transaero" are pledged with VTB bank, the other - the differences between creditors on debt restructuring of the carrier.

Aeroflot subsidiary Pobeda airline can begin international flights in the winter of 2015 to CIS countries, the Balkan region, Germany and Italy, a source in Aeroflot told TASS Wednesday. "This will be possible in case restrictions of the Federal Aviation Regulations are lifted," he said. Aeroflot's upcoming purchase and reorganization of Transaero Airlines follows the traditional Russian quasi-state-controlled business model. The Aeroflot board of directors recently met to consider purchasing a 75 percent plus one share of Transaero Airlines. Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov had already approved the deal at an earlier meeting. Fitch Affirms Gazprom Rating at 'BBB-' With Negative Outlook. Fitch Ratings said Monday it had downgraded Russia's largest airline Aeroflot's Long-term foreign currency Issuer Default Rating (IDR) to 'B+' from 'BB-' and placed it on Rating Watch Negative (RWN). "Aeroflot's rating downgrade reflects our expectations of weakening credit metrics over 2015-2017, principally due to rouble devaluation and lower yields," Fitch said in a statement. "The RWN reflects the expected negative impact of Aeroflot's announced acquisition of a majority stake in OJSC Transaero Airlines on its already stretched financial profile, at least in the short-term," the statement said.

Aeroflot airline has decided to liquidate its "daughter" company, the low-cost air company Dobrolet, according to the information of SPARK-Interfax database. Dobrolet low-cost airline started operations in June 2014 with a flight to Simferopol. On July 30, 2014, the EU has imposed restrictive measures against Russian low cost air company. As the official Council of the EU explained to Interfax, Dobrolet fell under the sanctions, because it is directly involved in the integration process of the Crimea to Russia. On August 4, 2014 Dobrolet" reported that the company stops all flights.

Aeroflot suspends regular flights to Washington, Los Angeles and Miami until April 30. In addition, the flights to Dubai and Lisbon are suspended until April 30.
