Russians have traveled to Turkey 4,5 million times

According to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey, for 11 months of 2021 (January - November inclusive), 22 819 746 arrivals of foreign citizens were registered in Turkey. This is 89,6% more than for the same period in 2020, but 46,8% less than the figures for 11 months of 2019.

At the end of 11 months of 2021, Russia is a leader of foreign tourist flow to Turkey. In January-November, 4 555 047 tourist visits of Russian citizens were registered in Turkey (the share of the total tourist flow is 20%). This figure is 123,5% more than in the same period in 2020, but 33,9% less than in 2019.

Over 11 months of 2021, 3,54 million trips (77,8%) of these 4,55 million, were made by Russians to Antalya, 724,3 thousand (15,9%) - to Istanbul and, finally, 278 thousand or 6,3% - to the resorts of the Mugla province (Aegean coast of Turkey).

Following the results of 11 months of 2021, Germany with a share of 12,7% is on the second line of foreign tourist flow to Turkey. In January-November, the Germans traveled to Turkey 2 897 069 times (+ 170,3% by 2020 and -40,1% by 2019).

On the third line is Ukraine. Over January-November 2021, Ukraine citizens came to Turkey 2 018 812 times (share in the tourist flow is 8,85%).
