Russian tourists not concerned about security at Turkish resorts — tour operators
Turkey has not yet provided guarantees that vacationing in this country is safe, but Russians are not afraid of this, Maya Lomidze, the Executive Director of the Russian Association of Tour Operators (ATOR), told reporters on Monday.
"The security situation in Turkey raises questions," she said. "So far, they [security guarantees] have not been provided. However, there are more fears on the part of the market players than on the part of consumers."
Lomidze noted that Russian tourists are not particularly concerned about the security situation in the Turkish resorts. Tour operators hope that the Turkish side will provide the necessary guarantees in the near future.
The Russian Federal Tourism Agency (Rostourism) earlier advised tourists to take into account the high level of tourist threat in Turkey while planning trips to this country.
