More and more Russian travelers are choosing high-level hotels for the autumn season. This is the conclusion made by the experts of Te Tour after analysis of bookings on more than 30 destinations for dates from September to mid-October 2019. According to the press service of Tez Tour, the sales of tours with accommodation in 5-star hotels for the autumn season increased by 12% compared to the same period last year, and the share of the 4-star hotel bookings in the company's sales structure grew by 6,5 %.
The most significant changes occurred in Greece, where the share of tourists choosing 5-star hotels amounted to 44.5% compared to 31.8% a year earlier. Travelers' interest in five-star hotels in Cyprus increased by 9%, by 8,4% in Spain, by 7,2% in China, by 6,7% in Italy and 5,6% in Bulgaria. But in Turkey, on the contrary, 3.2% more Tez Tour customers preferred high-quality 4-star hotels.
Among other trends, which, according to Tez Tour, can be seen in booking system is a reduction of travel time. This season the tours lasting 13-14 nights were chosen by 18.6% of Russian tourists, which is 4.2% less than in 2018. At the same time, the number of tours lasting from 9 to 12 nights increased by 5.7% and the share of such bookings in the total sales structure for the autumn season was 35.1%. Also, a noticeable increase in demand was shown by tours lasting 7-9 nights, which number amounted to 34.4% compared to 28.7% a year earlier.
In the autumn season the most popular destinations for tour operator clients in descending order were: Turkey, Greece, Spain, Cyprus, Italy, China, Bulgaria and the UAE. According to Tez Tour data, the minimum cost of tours to these countries in September and October 2019 with air transportation, transfer and accommodation for 7 nights in 3-star hotels, amounted to 16,900 Rubles (232 Euros) per person (this is a price for a trip to Bulgaria in September). A similar tour for the autumn season period, costs in Greece 19,600 Rubles (269 Rubles) per person, 18,300 Rubles (251 Euros) in Turkey and 24,300 Rubles (333 Euros) in Spain. At the same time, the minimum cost of a weekly trip to Cyprus with air transportation, transfer and accommodation in a 3-star hotel will be 27,100 Rubles (372 Euros), in Italy - 22,600 Rubles (310 Euros), in China (Hainan) - 28,600 Rubles (392 Euros) and in the UAE - 31,430 Rubles (431 Euros).
