Russian tourist flow to Indonesia increased by 65% from January
The current demand for Indonesia is not yet comparable to the pre-pandemic level, but it is significant that it is already showing growth.
So, in January 2022, Indonesia accepted only 1 147 tourists from Russia, in February – 1 250, in March – 2 053 Russian tourists. At the same time, in terms of the number of tourists in March, Russia ranked fourth, behind China, Australia and Singapore.
There are no data for April and May yet, but the figures of Russian arrivals are highly likely to be higher: in April Indonesia eased the conditions for entry lifting the PCR test upon arrival, and on May 17 the PCR test, which tourists done 48 hours before entering Indonesia.
In March, Indonesia lifted the mandatory quarantine for tourists, which had a positive impact on demand. At the moment, Russian tourists who want to make holiday on the Indonesian islands need a vaccination certificate (Sputnik V), insurance and a business visa (B 211) for tourism purposes.
