Russian tourist flow to Indonesia: almost 100 thousand trips of Russians for 7 months
Indonesia continues to strengthen its positions on the Russian market. Despite the lack of direct flights and, as a result, the high price, the country attracts Russians in even greater numbers than before the pandemic.
In July, according to official statistics, 10 961 Russians visited Indonesia. This is 15% more than in July 2019, when 9 238 Russians arrived in this country.
In total, according to the results of 7 months of this year, 99 960 trips of Russian citizens were recorded in Indonesia. The indicator for the same period of 2019 was 88 908.
The most successful in terms of Russian tourist flow from January to August was January with 23 335 citizens of the Russian Federation. June turned out to be not so high – 10 152.
The positive dynamics of the Russian tourist flow is provided by group tourists, and, for the most part, by individual tourists who come to Indonesia for a long time.
Group tourists travel to Indonesia for an average of 11 to 14 days. But there is a demand from clients of tour operators for tours to Indonesia lasting 21 days.
Current sales data allow tour operators to count on good results for the autumn and winter. Sales for autumn and winter have picked up a good rate - the depth reaches January-February 2024.
Rossiya's direct flights from Moscow to Denpasar, which should be resumed from October, will also have a positive impact on autumn-winter sales.
