Russian tour operator reduced flight program to Hainan
Tartus Tour announced the adjustment of a flight program from Russian regions to Hainan (Haikou Airport). So, the flights departed from Yekaterinburg (three flights a week) and Tyumen (two flights a week), which were announced in December, were postponed to February 6 and 7, respectively. And the number of departures was reduced to one per week.
The company explained this by the adjustment of the plans of a key partner in Hainan - the state tour operator CITS. According to Tartus-Tour’s operations director Alesya Astapovich, having analyzed the situation, CITS concluded that there is no need in such intensive flight program with a large number of flights from one Russian region. The changes in flights were caused, perhaps, by too much influx of Chinese tourists to Hainan from the second half of January. The high vacation season traditionally ends only in mid-February.
Alesya Astapovich added that as soon as CITS announced a change in the flight program, money was quickly returned to customers for flights and tickets. At the same time, tourists were offered a discount of $ 100 for the next reservation of tours starting from February 6 and 7, respectively.
The company announced that two new Russian cities could join the program in the autumn. But the operator is not yet ready to name them.
