Russian citizen coming from abroad will be tested for COVID-19 twice
Russian Federal State Agency for Health and Consumer Rights reported that citizens of the Russian Federation arriving from Turkey and Tanzania before May 1 will take a PCR test twice. After May 1, this rule is applicable for everybody arriving from all other foreign countries. Vaccinated travelers should follow the new regulation as well.
Experts note that the new rule will increase the cost of travelling abroad. A PCR test in Moscow laboratories costs almost 35 euro per person. Free urgent tests are hardly available. In addition, the question of self-isolation until the second test result is also important: so these all can discourage the Russians from traveling abroad.
