Russia will stop issuing short-term visas to foreigners for visiting Kaliningrad
The Russian Foreign Ministry has decided to stop the experiment of short-term three-day visas for visiting the Kaliningrad region.
"From January 1, 2017 the decision of the Russian Foreign Ministry leadership will stop the experiment of issuing short-term tourist visas to foreign citizens and stateless persons for visiting the territory of the Kaliningrad region", - said in a statement on the official website of the Russian Foreign Ministry's representative office in Kaliningrad.
It is noted in the Ministry, that the issue of simplification of visa entry into the Kaliningrad region for foreign citizens will be settled by the Federal law "Special economic zone in Kaliningrad region".
The draft amendmentsfor the Document is being developed by Ministry of Economic Development of Russia by order of the President of the Russian Federation.
