Russia opens flights to Egypt, the UAE and the Maldives
The order of September 2, 2020 was published on the website of the government of the Russian Federation on the resumption of international flights on three more routs. Airlines will be able to fly from Russia to Egypt (Cairo), the United Arab Emirates (Dubai) and the Maldives (Velana airport). Air traffic with Switzerland will be expanded.
According to the text of the document, the flights to Cairo in Egypt will be operated 3 times a week, the flights to the UAE and the Maldives - 2 times a week. Air traffic opens on a reciprocal basis: the flights will be operated by both Russian and foreign carriers.
It was also decided to increase the frequency of air traffic with Switzerland up to 4 flights a week: 2 Aeroflot flights on the Moscow - Geneva - Moscow route and 2 Swiss Air flights on the Zurich - Moscow - Zurich route. Previously, the flights were operated by airlines once a week.
In addition, it was decided that Russians will be able to travel to relatives, living abroad and need of care, without restrictions.
