Russia is in the TOP-10 of abroad destinations for Chinese tourists
Russia is in the TOP-10 of abroad destinations for Chinese tourists for the first half of the year with the 7-th place.
In total, Chinese tourists made more than 71 million trips abroad, which is 15% higher than in 2017.
According to the joint report of the Academy of Tourism of PRC and the Chinese online aggregator Ctrip, the growth of outcoming tourism from China is connected with increasing of the population's incomes, growth of transportation volumes, simplification of visa regime and the development of technologies.
The TOP-10 destinations for tourists from China include Thailand, Japan, Vietnam, South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Russia, the United States and Cambodia. According to the report, thanks to the World Cup 2018 Russia became the China's seventh largest outcoming market.
Recall, that according to the Border Service of Russian Federal Security Service, in the first half of 2018 PRC citizens made over 828,000 trips to Russian Federation (+19% against the same period of 2017).
In January-June, the average spending of Chinese tourists for abroad trip is 5,200 Yuan ($ 759). Men (47% of all travelers) and women (53%) travel practically in the same shares.
More interesting is the picture of age categories: the most active are tourists born in 1980-s (31%). As it is emphasized in the report, this audience is the basis of abroad tourism. On the second place, with an indicator of 18%, are the travelers born in 1990-s. The share of tourists, whose age is close to 50 years, is 15%.
