Russia is among the European leaders of the growth of tourist flow to Vietnam
According to the Central Statistical Office, the international tourist flow to Vietnam for the first 5 months of this year amounted more than 6.7 million people, which is 27.6% more in comparison with the same period of 2017. “Such figures are fixed for the first time”, - reports the Ministry of Tourism of the country. The largest increase of the flow to the country showed the markets of Northeast Asia, including China (more than 2.1 million arrivals, an increase of 37%); Republic of Korea (more than 1.4 million, an increase of 62.1%); Japan (334 thousand arrivals, an increase of 6.6%) and Taiwan (more than 283 thousand tourists, which is 14.5% more than a year earlier). Meanwhile, the European markets also show a positive trend. Among the leaders of the flow growth are Italy (+ 18.3%), Denmark (+ 18.1%), Sweden (+ 16.4%), France (+ 13.1%), Russia (+ 9.2%). At the end of the last week its own statistics was presented by the authorities of the largest city of Vietnam. So, for the first six months of 2018 Ho Chi Minh City hosted more than 3.8 million international visitors, which is 26.5 percent more than for the same period of the last year. The tourist sector of the city earned 62.6 billion Dongs ($ 2.7 billion), which is 15.7 percent more than a year earlier. According to the Statistics Office of Ho Chi Minh City, a foreign tourist spends an average 145 US dollars a day and stays in the city for 5.21 days.
