In November 2022, Russia showed the best figures in terms of tourist flow to Thailand among all European countries due to extensive charter program, attractive prices that are as close as possible to the level of 2019, and the complete removal of all covid restrictions on entry into the country.
Malaysia became the leader in terms of tourist flow among all countries in November - 254 thousand tourists came to Thailand from there. The second position belongs to India with 143,7 thousand tourists.
According to the fresh Thai statistics, which were provided by the Moscow office of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), in November the Kingdom accepted 109,4 thousand tourists from Russia.
Such indicators allowed Russia to take the first position among European countries in terms of tourist flow to Thailand. For comparison: in November, only 67,3 thousand tourists arrived in Thailand from the UK, and 63 thousand tourists from Germany.
Following the results of 11 months, Thailand accepted 256,5 tourists from Russia. Of these, November accounted for 109,4 thousand tourists. That is, the last month of autumn formed 42% of the total annual tourist flow to Thailand.
This is more than twice more than the result of October, when 43,6 Russians arrived in the country.
Taking into account the huge deferred demand for holidays in Thailand and large-scale flight programs, tour operators expect that in December the Russian tourist flow to Thailand has every chance to show even more impressive results than in November.
In the winter season, charter flights of tour operators to Phuket and Pattaya are operated from 15 Russian cities.
In addition to Azur air (Anex Tour, Intourist, Coral Travel, Fun&Sun) and Icarus (Pegas Touristik) charters, regular Aeroflot and S7 flights fly to Thai resorts from several cities. Blocks of seats on Aeroflot flights are available from Biblio-Globus tour operator.
