Rosturism published updated list of hotels increasing prices during the World Football Championship FIFA 2018

The Federal Agency of Tourism has compiled an updated list of hotels that increased the prices during FIFA 2018 World Cup. The document was made up on the basis of monitoring of implementation of the requirements of the Russian Federation Government Decree No. 89 dated 10.02.2016 "On state regulation of the cost of hotel services in the cities where the sports competitions of FIFA World Cup 2018, the Confederation Cup FIFA 2017 will be held". This monitoring is held by Rosturizm together with the bodies of executive power of Russian Federation. As of February 8, 2018 the list of violators of the Resolution included 69 hotels - 28 more than it was on January 19, 2018. At the same time in the updated version of the document there are no hotels listed in the previous one. Most cases of violations were found in St. Petersburg and at Krasnodar Territory, then – in Moscow, Sverdlovsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Volgograd and Kaliningrad regions. Rostov region closes the list where only one hotel increased prices. The updated list of hotels that overstate the prices during FIFA 2018 World Cup is send to the authorized agency – Rospotrebnadzor for taking necessary action. "The establishing of fair prices for hotel services during the Championship is not only a matter of social responsibility, but also a reasonable approach to doing business for future development", - says Oleg Safonov the Head of the Federal Agency of Tourism.
