Oman opens up for Russian tourists
The authorities of another country on the year-round warm sea opened the borders for Russian tourists. From September 1, foreign travelers who have been vaccinated, including the Russian vaccine Sputnik V, can enter Oman. This was reported by the Ministry of Tourism of the Sultanate.
Thus, the Arab resort is now opened to both visa holders and those who can apply for it upon arrival in the country. In addition to visa documents, you must also present medical ones:
- a vaccination passport with a note on the receipt of the second component of the drug at least 14 days before the date of arrival;
- negative result of a PCR test carried out no later than 96 hours before departure.
If there is no certificate of the passed PCR test, the tourist is obliged to pass the analysis upon arrival in Oman and to have quarantine. According to the Ministry of Tourism of the Sultanate, during this time, the location of the passenger will be tracked by an electronic bracelet. If the test is positive, the quarantine is extended for another 10 days.
It is clarified that these conditions do not apply to visitors who have not reached the age of majority. Before the trip, all tourists must register in the official application of the Ministry of Health of Oman, attaching a certificate of vaccination and the results of PCR tests.
