A direct flight, which will connect Moscow and Bali Indonesian island, will be opened in August. It was informed by the Indonesian Internet portal Tempo referring to the republic's ambassador to the Russian Federation Mohammad Vahid Supadiyadi. The flight, he said, will be carried out three times a week. The exact date of the beginning of flights is not yet known, as well as the Moscow airport, where flights will be performed. According to Mr. Supadiyadi, "the flagship carrier of Indonesia Garuda Indonesia is ready to consider transportation between Moscow and Jakarta". Direct air communication between Russia and Indonesia has been absent for several years. The planned Garuda Indonesia flight will significantly short-cut the way from Moscow to Bali. Now it takes from 19 to 23 hours depending on the connecting airport. A direct flight can reduce the time up to 11 hours.
