It is planned to open the first direct flight from Moscow to Bali in August
A direct flight, which will connect Moscow and Bali Indonesian island, will be opened in August. It was informed by the Indonesian Internet portal Tempo referring to the republic's ambassador to the Russian Federation Mohammad Vahid Supadiyadi. The flight, he said, will be carried out three times a week. The exact date of the beginning of flights is not yet known, as well as the Moscow airport, where flights will be performed. According to Mr. Supadiyadi, "the flagship carrier of Indonesia Garuda Indonesia is ready to consider transportation between Moscow and Jakarta". Direct air communication between Russia and Indonesia has been absent for several years. The planned Garuda Indonesia flight will significantly short-cut the way from Moscow to Bali. Now it takes from 19 to 23 hours depending on the connecting airport. A direct flight can reduce the time up to 11 hours. In recent years among the Russians Indonesia has lost its tourist attraction significantly against the background of more accessible, including transportation factor, tropical resorts. As a rule, our tourists have a rest at Bali resorts, where they arrive to with changing in Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur or Singapore airports. According to the Tempo portal, in the first quarter of 2017 Indonesia was visited by 45 thousand Russians.
