Two-fold increase in air transportation from Russian cities to Hainan

The market will see a two fold increase in air transportation from Russian cities to Hainan in the winter season. At the same time, the volume of reservations from a number of players does not exceed last year's figures. Experts do not exclude that tour operators will have to actively stimulate demand using special offers. 

For the winter season, tour operators working on the destination, announced a large-scale flight program to Hainan Island, the total volume of which has more than doubled. The tour operator Anex will fly to Hainan from 7 cities of Russia, Tez Tour increases the number of departure cities. Against this background, a number of experts fear that an increase in transportation may lead to a certain imbalance in supply and demand.  

In the winter season the cost of tour package from Tez Tour starts from 66 000 Rubles (899 Euros) for two people for 6 nights at 4* hotel, BB. This year the hotel’s prices in Hainan, according to Anex Tour and Russian Express experts, do not differ significantly from last year’ figures. In turn, Tez Tour notes that at the moment the price level in many popular hotels has even decreased compared to the same period of the previous year.
