10 years of flights to China

On the 5-th of July 2019 the anniversary flight to the capital of China took place from the Russian airport Kolzovo (Ekaterinburg). That was ten years ago when “Ural Airways” fulfilled the 1-st flight from Ekaterinburg to Beijing. This regular flight started in 2009 was strategic for the economic relations strengthening between Ural region and China. 

During 10 years more than 370028 passengers were transported and China became the priority destination for the air company. Thus the chinese guests have got the shortest way to the Europe and Russians were travelling to the capital of China. 

In Kolzovo airport the friendly atmosphere was created for Chinese travelers. There are signs and schedules in English and Chinese languages. All the announcements are duplicated in these two languages too. Airport restaurants can offer several national Chinese dishes and menu cards are able in Chinese. 

2019 is the year of several anniversary dates: 70 years from the Chinese People republic foundation, 70-th anniversary of diplomatic relations establishment between China and Russia and 10 years since the Chinese general consulate was opened in Ekaterinburg.  

Kirill Skuratov - the commercial director of “Ural Airways” - has marked that the air company is among the leaders in connecting Russian regions with China. Thanks to our flights Ekaterinburg became the hub airport on the way from Beijing to Paris, Rome and Prague. Speaking about the most popular destinations for Chinese tourists in Russia they are Moscow and Saint-Petersburg. 

Nowadays the flight from Ekaterinburg to Beijing is fulfilled five times a week. “Ural airways” also fly from Kolzovo airport to the other Chinese towns: Harbin and Ordos. The schedule and the rates are available on the official website.
