From December 1, Israel may be opened for Russian tourists
From December 1, such a popular destination - including winter period - as Israel may be opened for Russian tourists. The country's tourism minister, Yoel Razvozov, who was on a visit to Russia, explained the details.
According to him, the final decision to open for Russian tourists will be made near the end of November. Mr. Razvozov stressed that Sputnik V may be recognized by WHO in the near future, and nowadays it is under discussion by the Israeli Ministry of Health. For this decision, the chief national coordinator against coronavirus, Professor Salmon Zarka and director of the control department for the laboratories at the Israeli Ministry of Health, Ruthi Yishai, came to Russia.
Mr. Razvozov expects high demand from Russian tourists. “At the initial stage, there will be 10–20 thousand people,” the minister said. At the same time, the question of what tests the tourist will have to pass is still under discussion.
