Ferry operator St.Peter Line and the Italian Moby will establish a joint venture to operate in the Baltic Sea

“The Russian St.Peter Line and the Italian Moby S.p.A are creating now a joint venture for ferry activities in the Baltic Sea”, - the general director of St.Peter Line Sergei Kotenev reported on Thursday. According to him, the joint venture will provide a new cruise tour product: "the Italian island in the Baltic Sea" will be created on the board of Princess Anastasia ferry. Investing in refitting of the ferry is estimated in 5 million Euros. The reconstruction of the ferry will begin January 8 till April 2, 2017. After refitting the updated ferry will perform the first cruise. Customers will be offered Friday’s cruises to Helsinki, cruise along the four Baltic capitals. Tourists will be able to spend one night on the ferry’s board during visiting St. Petersburg. S.Kotenev noted that 2017 will be a transition year for the company, it is planned that approximately 300 thousand passengers will be transported. During 2016 the company transported 550 thousand passengers.
