Experts: "last minute" offers for Tunisia should not be expected
This year Tunisia has maintained its position in the top lines of the ranking of the most popular summer destinations among Russian tourists. According to representatives of the tourism business, the demand for the destination is so high that tourists cannot wait for the last minute offers. In general, following the results of the year, the country counts on a 15% increase in tourist traffic from the Russian Federation.
As it was told at the Tunisian Ministry of Tourism, since the beginning of this year more than 60 thousand travelers from Russia have visited the resorts of the country, which is comparable to the figures for 2018. “Following the results of 2019, we are counting on a 15% increase in Russian tourist traffic,” the agency added. The agency also stressed that tourists from Russia come to Tunisia not only in summer, but also in winter, thanks to the year-round flight program of ANEX Tour operator.
The fact that interest for Tunisia is very high was confirmed by the press service of ANEX Tour. The company recalled that the flight program of the tour operator in 2019 is carried out by AZUR airline from 17 cities of Russia - in the summer months the flights are performed daily.
“This year the demand for Tunisia can be called as very good. The Republic is consistently among the top three most popular countries among our clients. If we talk about preferences, the island of Djerba is the leading resort. We do not expect last minute offers of the destination. And those, who want to buy rooms in popular hotels, should hurry - good 4 and 5 star hotels are in high demand now,” added the representative of MGP travel agencies net.
According to the data from Tutu.ru online search service, Tunisia is on the third position among the TOP 10 most high-demand countries among travelers. At the same time, prices for the destination, according to the company, have not changed.
