Dvorkovich hopes for the resumption of air links with Egypt until the end of the year
The Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich expects that air traffic with Egypt will resume before the end of this year. Answering the question about a possibility that air traffic will be opened before the end of 2016, he said: - "I hope. At least the Cairo airport - there is a better situation. I believe that they will do quickly". He precised that the Egyptian side should establish "some security system" - it have been ordered but not yet delivered and installed. As reported on Friday, the head of the Ministry of Transport Maxim Sokolov told reporters that after the inspection of the Egyptian airports in late September the Russian experts came to the conclusion that resumption of air links with Russia is too early. “Egyptian side need more time to remove all shortcomings and put into operation a second terminal at Cairo airport”, - said the Minister. After that, the Russian experts have to make "at least another visit" to Egypt.
