Crimean "Artek" became the part of the International Association of Children's camps
“The International Association of children's camps has brought into the fold the Children's center "Artek" (Gurzuf, Crimea)”, - said the press service of the "Artek" on Thursday.
The president of the organization John Jorgenson "highly appreciated the new stage in the development of “Artek" and announced that the Russian "Artek" brought into the fold by the association.
"Artek" – is a part of the world community and the leader of the movement of the camps for 90 years. We will always support the movement of the Russian camps. Together we will build the road to the peace", - the press-service of "Artek" quoted John Jorgenson words.
Following the results of 2016 "Artek" plans to be visited by about 30 thousand children, including 1.5 thousand citizens of 18 other countries, in particular - from the US, Germany and Italy. In 2017, the camp management predicts that the flow will increase by 10 thousand. It is expected, that nearly 1 million children will want to have a rest in the Children's Center in the next year.
