Azerbaijan hosts Eurasian Mountain Tourism Forum

The Eurasian Mountain Tourism Forum was held in the Shahdag mountain resort in Azerbaijan from March 4-6.

The Eurasian Alliance of Mountain Resorts was created in 2023. This public organization unites six leading mountain resorts in Eurasia - Russia's Rosa Khutor, Amirsoy from Uzbekistan, Shahdag from Azerbaijan, Shymbulak and Oy Karagay from Kazakhstan and the Mona Yong Pyong resort from South Korea.

The event was attended by representatives of the State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan, mountain resorts of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Russia and South Korea, as well as about 150 tourism representatives from Belarus, Georgia and Kyrgyzstan.

Particular attention was paid to the development of international cooperation, which plays a key role in strengthening ties between countries and exchanging experience. Plans for the future, issues of further development and current problems of mountain tourism were also discussed, as well as possible ways to solve them.
