At the World Forum of cruise companies the new sea terminal in Murmansk will be presented.
The Murmansk Marine passenger terminal, reconstruction of which will be completed in October, will promote the development of marine tourism - believe in the Ministry of Transport of Russia and in the Government of the Murmansk region.
“At this time, the cruise companies are actively planning the season 2017 and we already confirmed four sea port Murmansk visits of cruise liners”, - he added.
In addition, the Transport Ministry is negotiating with Norwegian cruise companies, in particular - with the “Hurtigruten” company, which are specializes on tours along the Norwegian coast with visiting Kirkenes - Norwegian port city which is closest to the Russian border.
The local authorities are working up the cruise route that will connect Murmansk with Spitsbergen. Today such routes start from Norway, and those operators which are engaged with the Russian tourists are considering options to start from Murmansk, because it is easier for the Russian tourists.
