According to the agency, in August 3.13 million foreigners visited Thailand or 8.7% more than in the same period of the last year, and they spent 11.7% more money in the country. The expenditure of Russians in Thailand increased by 5.6% in August. Most tourists to the country, as in the previous months, came from China - more than 982 thousand people, which is 10% more than in August 2016. Further in the ranking of the most mass markets are Malaysia, South Korea and Japan. Among the European markets Russia is after Britain, France and Germany. Earlier in the Moscow office of the tourist department of Thailand reported that the Kingdom expects to host more than a million Russian tourists in 2017.
