200 Belarusian agents and 22 Egyptian hoteliers meet at Intercity workshop in Minsk
Over 200 Belarusian travel agents gathered for a high-energy B2B event, bridging Minsk and the Red Sea. On July 20, 2026, the DoubleTree by Hilton in Minsk served as the venue for a large-scale workshop organized by Belarusian tour operator Intercity in cooperation with its strategic partner, the Egyptian DMC Joyce Tours. The event brought together approximately 200 representatives from travel agencies across Belarus and 22 leading Egyptian hotels.
The working programme commenced with opening addresses. Igor Tsurankov, Head of Intercity, briefed participants on the company’s current flight schedules to both the Red Sea and the Mediterranean (North Coast), noting departures from Minsk and regional airports. Mohamed Abed from Joyce Tours then spoke about the partnership between the two companies.
The core of the workshop was structured as a full-day series of direct meetings. The agenda comprised two rounds of face-to-face meetings, with a scheduled break in between. This format allowed each agent to engage with multiple hotel representatives in a time-efficient manner.
During the event, Intercity also recognised the top five Belarusian agencies by sales volume for Egyptian destinations. Each received a certificate for a 7‑night stay at a designated hotel. The winners included:
- Discount Travel – Awarded a stay at the Rixos Radamis.
- Alatan Tour – Secured a retreat at the Rixos Premium Alamein.
- Geography of Travel – Received a voucher for the Steigenberger Aldau.
- Softtour – Won a stay at the Nubian.
- Atlas Travel – Earned a stay at the Novotel.
To ensure the spirit of the event was shared by all, the organizers hosted a grand raffle that kept the energy high. The main prizes on offer were week-long all-inclusive tours, generously provided by the participating Egyptian hoteliers.
