“Kazan” international airport has already served 2 000 000 passengers

August, 8 the international airport “Kazan” has overcome the number of 2 000 000 served passengers in 2019. This figure was achieved on 11 days earlier than in 2018 when it happened only August, 19. For that moment it was the historical achievement for Tatarstan thanks to FIFA Football World Championship 21018. 

For the moment the passengers’ growth is 7% higher in comparison to 2018. There were 1 278 000 passengers served on the internal destinations and 727 000 on the international routes. The airport’s plan is to rich the level of 3 000 000 served passengers in November. 

The sufficient growth is evident on the most destinations. Moscow and Saint-Petersburg are the traditional leaders, but Antalya, Istanbul, Dalaman, Dubai, Prague, Tbilisi, Baku, Sochi and Simferopol also have made a big deposit to the growth of passengers’ number. 

It’s important to mention here that in the second half of this year two new destination will start flying from this airport. 

October,30 Hungarian low cost airline Wizz Air will connect Budapest and Kazan twice a week.  

October, 31 the direct flight from Kazan to La Romana (Dominican Republic) once in a fortnight will start operating. 

And in the both destinations Kazan will become the third city in Russia having the direct connection.
