Which countries were chosen by Russian potential tourists in March?
In March, according to the analysis conducted by ATOR, the most popular destination (as expected) was Turkey. 29.2% of all users, who searched tours by web resource "Sletat.ru", were choosing Turkey. Interest to this country grew by 102% against February of current year.
Significantly less, 7.9% of search requests were for Thailand. Traditionally strong winter direction still occupies the second line of the rating in March. Nevertheless, the opening of Turkey affected on the popularity of Thailand as a summer destination. The specialists noted a recorded 25 % drop in the number of requests, in comparison with the period of a year ago.
Greece in March, took 7.3% of the search requests of the users of Sletat.ru. However, the number of requests for tours to Greek resorts decreased by 5.1% against the same period of the last year. So we can see some result of the rapid growth of demand for Turkish resorts.
But Cyprus, among the users of Sletat.ru, continues to grow steadily. Options for holiday in Cyprus were searched by 6.7% users in March, which is 6.2% more than a year earlier.
The UAE, which simplified the visa procedures for Russians, is also growing dynamically: 4.2% of users of Sletat.ru wished to have a rest in Emirates, which is 49.6% more than in March 2016.
The share of search requests for tours to Spain was 4%. But in comparison with March 2016, the direction showed a decline of users' interest by 17.6%.
But the tours to Tunisia are on the peak of popularity – against March of the last year the growth of the direction was 70.9%.
Interest in the resorts of Vietnam showed 3.5% of users of the search service, but the direction has the falling dynamics: in comparison with March of the last year the number of requests for tours to this country decreased by 26.9%.
In the past month, more than 2% of users of Sletat.ru selected options for holiday in Bulgaria, Dominican Republic and India.
