Vnukovo airport decreased passenger traffic in February by 23%

In February 2016, Vnukovo airport decreased its passenger traffic by 23%, to 690 thousand people, according to the information of the airport. On domestic routes index increased by 6.4% to 576.1 thousand people, on international it dropped by 67% to 114.3 thousand. The most popular international destinations from Vnukovo airport are Istanbul, Dushanbe, Milan, Tashkent, Yerevan, Tbilisi and Budapest. As reported, in January 2016, passenger traffic of Vnukovo airport has fallen by 28% to 722.5 thousand people. Meanwhile, passenger traffic of Sheremetyevo airport increased by 11.7% in February compared to the same period of the last year, to 2.2 million people. On international flights it rose by 6.9%, to 1.2 million passengers, and on domestic routes grew by 17.8%, the rate of over 1 million people.
