Turkish Airlines announced flights to Russia from July 16
The possible date of resuming flights with Turkey became known. The flights to Russian cities are scheduled by Turkish Airlines in July.
If earlier the airline planned to fly in July only to Moscow and St. Petersburg, now there are flights to Krasnodar in the plan.
According to Turkish Airlines, from July 16 it is planned to operate 14 flights a week to Moscow, from July 17 - 3 flights a week to St. Petersburg, and from July 20 - 3 flights a week to Krasnodar. The carrier’s message does not provide the departure points from Turkey. So it’s not completely clear whether these will be the flights only from Istanbul or the flights from Antalya are possible also.
Recently it became known that the resumption of the flight program from Istanbul to Samara was postponed until the autumn. “The flights on the Samara-Istanbul route were officially canceled till October 1, 2020,” the Turkish Airlines representative said.
Observers said that, taken into account Russia's intentions to restart international flights from July 15, the possibility of resuming of regular flights to Turkey in July is “high”. According to sources, most likely, these flights will be only to Istanbul, but Russians can use connecting flights to reach the resorts of Antalya and the Aegean coast.
The large-scale opening of foreign charter flights is likely to begin in September. Many foreign airlines think about restarting their flight programs to Russia in the autumn.
