Turkey tries to restore flights to Russia
Turkish Transport and Infrastructure Minister Adil Karaismailoglu said that he agreed to restart flights to 40 countries in June. At the first stage, it will be 15 countries, including Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Moldova and Uzbekistan. Russia was not included in this list yet.
International flights will be opened on June 10 (Bahrain, Bulgaria, Qatar, Greece), 5 days later flights will start to Germany and another 11 European countries, as well as in Azerbaijan, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and Tajikistan. From June 20, flights to the Netherlands and Kazakhstan will be resumed, and since June 22 - to another 11 countries in Europe, South Korea and Kyrgyzstan.
According to Karaismailoglu, now Turkey is negotiating on resumption of flights with 92 countries, including Russia. The resumption of flights to Russia is scheduled for July 15.
Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced one of the conditions for the resumption of tourism in Turkey. This is "the completion of the sanitary and epidemiological certification of tourist facilities." Russian observers note that in Turkey “anti-virus” protocols are implemented not only in hotels, but also in airports.
