Turkey, Cyprus and Spain lead among foreign destinations for May holidays

“Turkey, Cyprus and Spain have become the most popular foreign holiday destinations for May holidays”, - said the Executive Director of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) Maya Lomidze. 

 

"Half of all the sold tours for May holidays are to Turkey resorts. In the TOP 5 are also Cyprus, Spain, Bulgaria and the United Arab Emirates. Greece terminates the list of popular destinations", - she added. 

 

M. Lomidze noted that May tours began to sell two months ago, when there was active early booking program. "We see that in Russia demand has grown by 15-20% and this trend lasted two weeks. As for foreign destinations, their rating does not change. Another picture we could see when Turkey was absent on the market", - she underlined. 

 

Previously, M. Lomidze said that Turkey has become the cheapest foreign destination for travelers for May holidays and Greece - the most expensive.
