Tourists are actively buying up Thailand for the winter
Tour operators report that news about the possible opening of Egypt has not influenced on sales of tours to the resorts in Thailand. Among the largest players on the destination the volume of early booking tours to Thailand for the winter season already exceeds the last year’s one by tens of percent. According to the specialists of Biblio-Globus tour operator, Thailand is in the TOP of the most popular countries for beach holidays all year round. Moreover, in recent years, the popularity of this tourist destination in Southeast Asia has only grown: the demand for tours to Thailand from 2015 to 2018 has increased 4 times. This coincides with the statistics of Thailand authorities. The Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Thailand predicts that this year the tourist flow from Russia will de facto return to the pre-crisis indicators, reaching over 1.7 million tourists. The data of tour operators confirm a confident growth of the destination this winter. So, in Biblio-Globus, the volume of early booking of tours to Thailand already exceeds the last year’s figures by 27%. “According to our current sales, we see that news about the possible opening of air links with Egypt does not influence on the demand of tourists for Thailand. Thailand has its own audience, which is quite resistant to “Egyptian influence,” noted Biblio-Globus. The main factor of the growth of the demand, according to Biblio-Globus, is the variety of flight programs and the availability of quality range of hotels for tourists - from budget to VIP level. In general, prices for tours to Thailand remain at the same level as last year. Thus, in Biblio-Globus, the average cost of tours to Thailand with air transportation and accommodation in a hotel for winter dates is $ 750– $ 850 per person. The tour for New Year's dates will cost twice more. The tour operators provide price stability by their own flight programs and guaranteed blocks in the hotels. For example, Biblio-Globus tour operator offers this winter more than 1,000 hotels at the most popular resorts of Thailand - Phuket, Pattaya, Khao Lak, Krabi, Hua Hin, Khao Lak, Koh Chang, Samui, Phi Phi, Rayong, Chiang Mai. Since October, the year-round flight program of Biblio-Globus to Thailand has been extended with an increase of frequency of flights in the autumn-winter season. By volumes, the program is similar to the last year’s one and, as before, the flights are carried out on the wings of Rossia airline (Aeroflot group of companies) and by regular flights Moscow-Phuket and Moscow-Bangkok. The flights from Moscow to Phuket are performed 5 days a week from October to March, except Mondays and Thursdays. Departures to Bangkok are available twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays all the winter period.
