Tourist flow to Japan is breaking records

“The statistics of June showed a record growth of the tourist flow from Russia to Japan, which reached 7000 people. In 2017 this figure was 5500 people, thus, the increase is 26.1%”, -according to the National Tourism Organization of Japan. During the first six months of 2018 46,400 Russians visited Japan, which is 29.9% higher than in the last year. In 2017 35,720 people entered the country in the same period. It is noted that the increase of the Russian tourist flow is connected with the new flights and their frequency from such cities as Irkutsk, Novosibirsk and Vladivostok. In June 2 704 500 foreigners visited Japan, which is 15.3% more than in the last year. For the first six months the country was visited by 15,898,500 people from around the world. The analysis of the main 20 markets for the first six months of 2018 revealed the TOP 5. This are Russia (29.9%), Vietnam (23.7%), China (23.6%), Philippines (22.7%), Spain (20.1%). The record growth of the tourist flow to Japan in June was shown by such countries as Indonesia (46.4%), Thailand (42.2%), Vietnam (34.9%), Italy (32.1%) and China (29.6%).
