Tourist flow from Russia to Thailand increased by 30% in October against the last year

“Thailand in October 2016 was visited by 90,8 thousand Russian tourists, which is 30.3% higher than a year earlier”, - according to statistics published on the website of the Thailand Ministry of Tourism and Sports. If in October a year earlier, the country was visited by 69.7 thousand Russians, this year their number reached 90.8 thousand. At the same time Russia takes the first place among the European countries in the number of tourists in October. Totally during 10 months of 2016 795.6 thousand Russians have visited Thailand with tourist purpose. A year earlier this number was 649.2 thousand. An increase is 22.5%. In 2016 among the European countries Russia is after UK - 803.6 thousand, which is 7.3% more than the year before. In whole from January to October 2016, Thailand was visited by 27.07 million foreign tourists. That is 11.3% over the last year's result.
