Tourist flow from Russia to Spain grew by 13% in March

“In March 55,400 Russian tourists visited Spain, which is 13% more than in the same month a year ago”, - according to the National Institute of Statistics of the country. In total, 5.4 million foreign tourists visited Spain in March, which is 10% more than in the same month in 2017. Most travelers came from Great Britain - 1.2 million people, as well as from Germany (820 thousand), France (650 thousand) and countries of North Europe (504 thousand). According to statistics, the most popular destinations in Spain are the Canary Islands - they were visited by 25% of tourists, Catalonia - 22.5% and Andalusia - 14.6%. The average length of stay was from 4 to 7 nights. Totally for the first three months of the year 13.7 million foreign tourists visited Spain, 171 thousand of them were Russians. The tourist flow from Russia to Spain grew by 9% in comparison with the same period of the last year.
