Sales of summer tours to Indonesia have noticeably increased among a number of companies: the direct transportation and special offers from hoteliers encourage the growth of demand.
Russia is on the first position among all European markets in terms of growth of tourist traffic to Indonesia over the past years. So, by the end of 2018 the country hosted 125.7 thousand Russian tourists, which is 7% higher than last year’s figures.
At the same time, more and more Russian tourists are choosing Indonesia for their summer holidays. In fact, experts say, the best time to visit this country is precisely the period from April to October: at this time there is minimal humidity and very comfortable weather conditions. Meanwhile, a rather sharp seasonality of sales of the destination was observed on the Russian market. Tourists go to Indonesia in winter, because in the summer months the Russians have the opportunity to visit the nearest mass beach destinations at attractive prices.
In 2019, as tour operators say, the situation is changing: summer sales of tours to Indonesia have noticeably increased. According to them, not the last role was played by the direct flight from Moscow to Bali, launched in 2018 and performed Rossia airline.
The direct flights from Moscow to Denpasar will continue in 2019. From April 1 to October 24, 2019, the flights will be operated twice a week from Sheremetyevo. According to experts, this becomes an incentive for the further growth of tourist traffic from Russia in the summer season.
Tour operators point out that direct flight to Bali is one of the main growth factors for Russian tourist traffic to the country. Those players, who do not have blocks of seats on the flights of other carriers, talk about the reorientation of customers for the direct flights of Rossia. So, the share of tourists of ICS Travel, choosing Rossia transportation, reaches 70%. High demand for these flights is also recorded among other tour operator, such as ANEX Tour, KMP Group, TEZ Tour.
The direct flight of Rossia noticeably shifted other air transportation to Denpasar. “For example, some companies that used to take blocks of seats on the flights of Singapore Airlines now did not take blocks for this summer season,” the expert says.
Tour operators PAKS and Russian Express now have about 20-25% of sold tours to Indonesia on the basis of Rossia flights. According to analysts of these tour operators, the role of a direct flight for the destination is very large, since no one company, except Rossia, offers non-stop flights to Bali today.
