Tour operators note the growth in demand for holidays in November
“Sales of the November holidays tours are more active against the previous year”, - said the press secretary of the Russian Union of Travel Industry Irina Turina to the portal "Interfax-Tourism", referring to data of tour operators. "According to operators, the pre-crisis volumes are not yet achieved, but the situation is quite encouraging," - she said. The director general of "Turtrans Voyage" Dmitry Fomintsev said that demand of the November 4-6 tours now is more by 15% compared with October last year. Russians ask holiday tours in Eastern Europe as well as in Italy, France, Scandinavia and Finland. Greece is one of the traditional places for November holiday trips. According to the director of "Mouzenidis Travel" Alexander Tsandekidi the sales growth amounted to 10% compared to the last year level. "Thailand or the other areas of beach holiday are too far to travel for a few days and are not sold so well. Turkey is quite popular, we have extended the flight program to this destination until 11 November in order to capture the holiday dates.
