Tour operators: demand for Israel has increased by 10-15%
An active sales season has started on Israeli destination: according to tour operators, the demand for holidays in this country has been showing stability for several years, and some players are registering an increase of 10–15%. According to the press service of Intourist tour operator, at the moment Israel’s sales are in line with the company's expectations. At the same time, programs, which begin on January 3 and 4, are the most in demand among the customers of the tour operator. “In comparison with the last year, on Israeli destination Intourist notes an increase of 10–15%, depending on the resort. The hotels of the Mediterranean cities of Netanya and Tel Aviv in combination with excursions, as well as holidays on the Dead Sea and tours to Jerusalem are popular among Russian tourists,” the company reports, noting that the possible opening of Egypt will have no effect on Israel. The PR director of ICS Travel Group, Anna Filatovskaya, noted that now Israel is the main destination of the tour operator in the winter season for several years. “Sales are active. The depth of sales reaches the end of February 2019. Rest on the Red Sea traditionally has the greatest popularity, excursion tours are on the second position. On the third line is rest at the Dead Sea resorts,” she said. The press service of Biblio-Globus tour operator also said that the sales figures of tours on the destination remain at the level of the last year.
