The tourists flow from Russia to Vietnam has increased by almost 200% since the beginning of 2017
“Vietnam was visited almost by three times more Russian tourists in January-February 2017 than a year ago”, - said the press-secretary of the Russian Union of Travel Industry Irina Tyurina, referencing to the data of the Vietnam Central Tourism Administration. "During the first two months of this year, more than 118 thousand Russian tourists visited Vietnam, which is 192% more than in the same period of 2016. Totally, in 2016 about 434 thousand visitors arrived from Russia and by the end of this year the country is waiting for about 500 thousand Russians", - told I.Tyurina. According to Din Ngoc Duc, representative of the Vietnam's Department of Tourism, Russia is one of the seven key markets for Vietnam, because Russians like to have a long time rest and leave a lot of money during the trip. At the same time, the main difficulty for the Vietnamese market will not be a lack of transportation, but a tough competition with Thailand. This season, Thailand has made enormously good propositions with price and assortment. This trend began last year, but now it has become especially noticeable.
