The tourists flow from Russia to Montenegro has decreased for seven months
“The Russian tourist flow to Montenegro has decreased three time for seven months of 2017”, - according to the data of electronic newspaper of Russian Union of Travel Industry (RST) RATA-news. According to the statistics department of the Republic, for the first seven months of 2017 50.2 thousand Russians visited Montenegro, this is three times less than in the same period of the last year (156.7 thousand). Nevertheless, Russians are on the second position among foreign tourists in this country, the first line is for citizens of Serbia. The decrease of the tourist flow took place during summer months: in June the number of tourists from Russia decreased by 62% from 46.6 thousand people to 18.8 thousand. In July 20.4 thousand Russians visited Montenegro, although a year ago at the same time there were 84.8 thousand. "We really have a noticeable drop of the flow to Montenegro, the season is clearly below expectations. We connect this with the opening of Turkey and the high prices for Montenegrin hotels", - said tour operators.
