“The tourist flow from Russia to Monaco grew by 18.5% in the first half of 2017, in comparison with the same period of the last year”, - according to the Monaco Department of Tourism and Congresses. "The number of nights booked by tourists from Russia in the first half of 2017 was 18.6 thousand, which is 18.5% more than in the same period of 2016. The tourist flow in 2017 increased and reached the level of the pre-crisis period", - said in the message. "The summer season is not over yet, but we are already seeing a steady growth of incoming tourism. The tourists from Italy and Russia return to Monaco, which is very important for the country", - said Guillaume Roz, the President of the Monaco Department of Tourism and Congresses. According to tour operators, the tourist flow to Monaco from Russia grew by about 20-30% in January-August this year against the same period of 2016. In 2016, Monaco was visited by 890.7 thousand tourists from all over the world. Among the leaders are France (151.2 thousand tourists), United Kingdom (112.6 thousand). Last year 46.4 thousand tourists came from Russia, by this indicator our country is on the fifth place.
