The tourist flow from Russia to Azerbaijan grew by one third

“The number of tourists who visited Azerbaijan in January-October 2017 increased by 20.1% against the same period of 2016 - up to 2 million 276,604 thousand people”, - informs the press service of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. "For 10 months of 2017, Azerbaijan was visited by 2 million 276,604 thousand tourists against 1 million 894,707 people in January-October 2016", - the ministry said. According to the information, for the reporting period most of all Azerbaijan was visited by tourists from Russia - 727,577 people (an increase is 31.9%). The second and third lines of the list are occupied by the citizens of Georgia - 439,305 thousand people (an increase is 19.2%) and Iran - 249,210 thousand people (an increase is 14%). The fourth line was occupied by citizens of Turkey - 249.21 thousand people (+10.9%) and the fifth - UAE - 81,742 people (2.1 times growth).
