The results of the Year of Tourism of Kazakhstan in China have been summed up: the flow of visitors from China has increased by almost 50%

In December 2024 the official closing ceremony of the Year of Tourism of Kazakhstan in China took place in Almaty. This large-scale event brought together more than 300 representatives of the tourism industry of the two countries.

"This year was marked by a significant expansion of cooperation between Kazakhstan and China in the field of tourism. The tourist flow between our countries has demonstrated significant growth, which once again emphasizes that we are united not only by good neighborliness, but also by a common desire for mutual understanding and cultural exchange," - said Deputy Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerzhan Yerkinbayev.
According to the Border Guard Service, the number of trips from Kazakhstanis to China increased by 31%, and from China to Kazakhstan by 50% compared to 2023.

2025 has been declared the Year of Tourism of China in Kazakhstan. This was previously announced by the heads of the two states at a joint press conference.
