The number of Russian tourists to Tajikistan has increased

The number of tourists from Russia to Tajikistan has increased. This was stated by the head of the Tourism Development Committee under the Government of the Republic, Jamshed Jumahonzoda, during a press conference.

According to him, the republic's authorities attach great importance to attracting travelers from Russia. Answering a question from TASS, he expressed confidence that Russian tourists are interested in vacation trips to Tajikistan.

In December 2024, Tajikistan launched a mobile application for tourists - Tourist Map Tajikistan - which contains all the information about routes, hotels and restaurants in the country. The service is very convenient to use, since it works even without the Internet, the Committee for Tourism Development noted. The main goal of the application is to introduce foreigners to unique natural and cultural attractions.
