The number of Russian tourists in Vietnam increased by one third in 2017
Vietnam entered into the TOP-10 of out coming markets in Russia in 2017. The annual increase of the number of Russian tourists amounted 32.3%. The tour operators have expanded their programs to the resorts of this country in winter. The experts note high demand for Vietnam among the Russian tourists in regions of the country. According to official statistics, the tourists flow from Russia to Vietnam in 2017 (excluding the New Year dates) increased by 32.3% in comparison with the results of 2016. Thus, in this year 574 thousand Russian tourists came to Vietnam. It should be noted that the dynamics of Russian tourist traffic is remarkable positive for the second year after some decline in 2015. In addition to the expanded flight programs, one of the factors, which have increased the demand for tours to Vietnam, is growing knowledge about this direction both among travel agents and tourists themselves, especially in the regions. The tour operators in response to the growing demand were actively forming direct charter programs from the regions of Russia. For instance, ANEX Tour operator has slightly more than a third of the total tourist flow to Vietnam from Moscow and two-thirds - from the regions of Russia. At the same time, many regional tourists also fly through Moscow. Nha Trang, Phan Thiet and Fukuok Island are the TOP-3 of Vietnamese resorts, which have the main volume of sales among Russian tour operators in the winter season 2017-18. The start of the charter program to Fukuok led to an increase of the number of requests of tourists to this region more than 10 times. As for the cost of traveling to Vietnam, it is at the level of the last year or even decreased - due to more affordable accommodation options, offered as part of package tours.
