The fact that the demand of Maldives in the first half of the year has grown significantly is confirmed by tour operators. Meanwhile, the next summer Maldives is preparing a surprise for tourists - the new and largest resort in the Indian Ocean. So, for the period January-June this year, the islands hosted 30 626 tourists from Russia. Against 2016, when only 22 366 Russian tourists arrived to Maldives during the same period, this is an increase of 36.8%.
