The most popular countries among Russian tourists in the first half of the year

In the first half of the year, Turkey became the most visited country by Russians with 2,6 million tourists, which is 3,5% below the pre-pandemic level. In the second place is the United Arab Emirates - 800 thousand tourists from Russia went there, and 554 thousand of them flew to Dubai. As a result, Russia took the second place in the UAE in terms of the number of tourists, the second is India.

Next is Thailand with a result of 791 thousand tourists and Egypt, which received 750 thousand Russians. And in this case, these are mostly group tourists and clients of tour operators.

Also, 110 thousand Russian tourists arrived in Sri Lanka, 109 thousand in the Maldives, 80 thousand in Indonesia, 67 thousand in Cuba, 62 thousand in Vietnam, about 55 thousand in Malaysia, 30 thousand in the Seychelles and more than 29 thousand in Cyprus. But Turkey does not consider these countries as powerful competitors.
